I just took a workshop through last looks makeup academy to get a my makeup artist certification. While there I was taught by an emmy award winning artist Ashley Peterson. She was amazing! She shared what she keeps in her kit. It was so cool to see that she kept as a staple certain over the counter products like; revlon lipstick, cetaphyl lotion cleanser, kohl eyeliner in the number 666. She has a lot of goody bags to give to her clients for touch up after she works on them. The goody bags carry inexpensive makeup that she would use on their face for color correction, lipstick touch up, and a powder puff loaded with the powder. As for brushes, I used to be so impressed with the whole number thing when I first started to watch the guru vids. "and I am using a number blah blah blah to cut the crease line" I'd be like "oooooh they are so smart, they must be pro's cause they know the number" Now I just think that I'd much rather know if it is a crease brush or a blending brush. All brush lines have the same brush names. Liner brush, bukki brush ect. I totally got what you where trying to say. Plus you are supposed to be being an anarchist, so you are supposed to rant against the established order of things. Am I right? I am. So, If you have a strong opinion, cool, share it. If people oppose your opinion, then they can have there time to gripe back. The whole "they just don't get it" quotient just makes the responses funnier. I doubt I will always agree with you, but I think it is cool that you know yourself and are strong enough to share what you think. There is a whole generation of makeup guru watchers that are being brain washed into thinking that the way the gurus do it the only and best way. Oh well.

I have just found your site. Your straight forward no nonsense attitude are so refreshing. Your site is just so fun. It is really informative too. I'm new to being a mua. Just staring out freelance for now. Your color theory was the perfect tool to clear up some confusion I had in blending colors from the mufe 12 color flash palette. Or even the Kryolan 18 color shimmering visions. Thanks man.

Hey Guys,

Trying for information about which is the best teeth whitening goods to use?

For me it can be tricky to get the truthful information as far as I can see. One person tells you one thing and another place tells you something totally different!
And, I thought the smartest thing to do is get practical information from you guys as you may have personal knowledge about these things.

Any info would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance guys.
