Tutorial: Spoiled

Tutorial: Spoiled

This is supposed to be a simple and pretty look, only two colors used, with flirty winged eyeliner… easy to do… Hope you like it.

Okay, everyone that has bought a MAC pigment, probably picked up Rose, because it’s pretty… and now it just sits in your makeup… being all chunky and pretty much useless.. So… I incorporated it into this look… I guess I could have gone further and used it as a blush and lipcolor (since lipgloss seems to be it’s best use) and been all matchy matchy.. but I didn’t… and I’m not redoing the video.

I tried this look yesterday because I LOVE LOVE LOVE it so much! I used different shadows though because I don’t have the ones you used. I really want to get my first mac pigment asap! The only almost pigment I got from MAC is reflects antique gold glitter and I bought that for my little sister! Is this pigment limited edition? Everytime I go to the only MAC store around in pittsburgh, they have like 2 pigments at a time and that’s it. and they are usually Deep Blue Green, which I don’t like very much, and then a limited edition one that’s currently out. Maybe I’ll get Rose if it’s not LE on the website. Also, I NEED that lipstick you used :) I love your looks I’m going to try them all! :)

  2. Are you kidding me?! I’ve been trying to get the deep blue green pigment for ages… it came out with the Hello Kitty collection and it’s always sold out here… I don’t wanna buy it on the site since I haven’t seen it in person though, because I don’t trust interweb pictures.

Rose is NOT limited edition… it’s part of the permanent pigment collection. But be forewarned, it’s gorgeous, but a lot of people hate it once they get it… it’s got golden shimmers that make it chunky and difficult to work with (being why I *HAD* to use it wet)… most people only find they can use it for lipgloss or nail color successfully… but it’s seriously a really beautiful pigment… it just tends to fall everywhere unless you turn it into a wet or creamy product.

If you google MAC Rose Pigment you’ll find a lot of people complaining about it… you just have to learn to work with it.

As for the lip color, I absolutely love Swoonderful… but it’s extremely sheer just so ya know… very shiny and shimmery… I bought it on a whim via Sephora.com when I ordered MisBehavin, I don’t usually wear lipsticks too often, so if I hated it, no biggie. I’m a lip-balm or lipstain kinda girl… I hate having to do touch ups. I might consider Swoonderful more of a lipgloss in lipstick form… gorgeous though. I love how Benefit’s lipsticks go on so smoothly.

I’m glad you like the look. It’s on the subtle side for my tastes, but when I bought Creme de Miel shadow, I thought Rose pigment would look pretty with it…

I can’t wait to put my next one up… it’s gonna be like cotton candy on crack.

I can’t wait for your next tutorial!! I saw that a lot of people were replicating the sephora cotton candy catalog picture on youtube, but theirs were all toned down and not bright enough for me. I really like this look too because lately I’ve been going with natural and simple looks instead of bright ass blues and greens and hot pinks! I love crazy bright looks but I can never decide what colors to put together and what style to do the shadow like. Plus it’s less time consuming for me to do simple looks. I think I definitely want Rose pigment because I want to start using pigments wet now really bad! I posted a forum in the general section on makeupanarchist about using pigments wet and questions I have about it. This is ladyjane by the way haha :) didn’t know if you knew that or not!

  4. I saw someone mention it in a tutorial, but I haven’t seen the Sephora cotton candy look… kind of curious now….

I got my idea when I was staring at my new eyeshadows…. by the time I was finished I was like “it’s freakin cotton candy!” I wasn’t going for a cotton candy look, but that’s how it turned out lol.

I saw the post and commented… I think I kinda cut off short because I wanted to get up and check the mail… but yeah lol… still no packages *cries*

lol haha I hate waiting for things to come in the mail… for some reason I think people are going to steal my box from the front porch… but I’m just a paranoid type of person! hehe :)
